TUITION AND FEES

Fees

Special Course and Laboratory Fees

The amounts charged for tuition and fees normally cover University charges for course registration. Some courses, however, have extraordinary expenses associated with them, and in such cases the University may charge additional fees in amounts approximating the added instructional or laboratory costs.

Services and Activities Fees

As part of tuition, students pay the Services and Activities Fee, which funds a variety of student services, including: ASUW and GPSS, The Daily, Hall Health Primary Care Center, Recreational Sports (IMA), Student Legal Services, Childcare Assistance Program, and Ethnic Cultural Center/Theater.

U-PASS

Students within the universal U-PASS program pay a fee each quarter for a U-PASS, which provides many benefits including full fare coverage on King County Metro, Community Transit, Sound Transit and more. For complete information about the U-PASS, visit the Commuter Services Web site.

Additional Fees

In contrast to the other academic quarters, in Summer Quarter, no students pay the building fee or technology fee. IMA Bond Fee, Facilities Renovation Fee and U-PASS Fee apply to Seattle campus. Sports Field Fee applies to Bothell campus.
